PASSPORT TO—SAUDI ARABIA AND YEMEN

with Lori Campbell, world traveler/photographer

Date: Tuesday, October 28
Time: 2:00 P.M.

Join Laurie Campbell on a journey to this brand new tourist destination. First, visit Jeddah, a bustling port on the Red Sea, famous for its fascinating history, colorful souks (markets), mosques and minarets. Then it’s on into the interior to see aged historical sites, camel markets, oil regions, and amazing geographical features. Finally, explore Riyadh, the largest Saudi city that combines ancient and modern and see the Muraba Palace, where the royal family has its origins. Lastly, tour Yemen and its capital Sana that looks like a medieval village with its colorful stone buildings. Travel across the desert to a date palm oasis with mud-walled hamlets and veiled women. Then continue on to picturesque Red Sea harbors surrounded by
magnificent mountains. An exciting glimpse of a remote and yet important part of the world.
