Kayaking is becoming the popular sport of the new millennium for adults. Long Island, with over 1600 miles of coastline including ocean, bays and rivers, is an ideal place to kayak. If you would like to give kayaking a try, plan to attend this program! Presenter Nick DeNezzo will discuss the many different types of kayaks and which one is right for you. In addition, a brief overview of basic strokes and rescues, how to buy a kayak and the many places on Long Island where you can kayak will also be discussed.

Nick DeNezzo has been a licensed Physical Education Teacher for 36 years and a Red Cross certified canoe and kayaking instructor for 23 years. He has been kayaking for 27 years and is President of the Long Island Kayak Club.
