Babysitting Certification Training

with an American Red Cross Certified Instructor

Time: 9:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Fee: $10

This fun, fast-paced workshop, participants will get the training they need to be the best babysitters in the neighborhood. This comprehensive 6 ½-hour course includes hands-on activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussion. Participants will learn how to perform basic child-care needs such as diapering and feeding, how to choose age-appropriate toys, handle discipline issues, identify safety hazards and prevent injuries, and communicate effectively with parents. All participants will receive a training handbook, an easy-to-carry emergency reference guide and a training CD-ROM which includes a printable activity booklet with games, songs, recipes, a resume template and more to help you be a reliable, well-prepared babysitter. All participants completing the workshop requirements will receive a certificate.

There will be a ½ hour lunch break; participants should bring a bag lunch.
