Linda Strommen of the Center for Parents and Children in Sea Cliff will be conducting an interactive workshop on how reading contributes to language development in infants and very young children.

AAA of New York is currently accepting submissions for it's Traffic Safety Poster and PSA (Public Service Announcement) Contest. The contest is open to students in grades K-12 and offers generous prizes. Students should illustrate a designated safety theme and create a catchy slogan for the posters or dialogue for the PSA's.
The deadline for entries is February 8, 2008.

Gold Coast Public Library now has available for the public the Notice of Completion Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) from the Town of Oyster Bay. This statement relates to the petition from Dumond Enterprises, LLC and Transtechnology Corporation (also known as Glen Head Commons) to build housing in Glen Head.
