Assemblyman Rob Walker's First Annual Youth Basketball Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2008 beginning at 9:00AM. The event will be held at the W. Tresper Clarke High School located at 740 Edgewood Drive Westbury, NY 11590. To pick up a registration form stop by the Gold Coast Public Library. The New York State Checker Championship will be taking place on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Jones Beach State Park. The entry fee is $10.00. Cash and prizes will be awarded to the first 12 winners. For more information please contact Lois or Elizabeth at (516) 378-2000, ext. 220 or 352. Proceeds will go to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.
The Hither Hills State Park will be hosting Line Dancing on Mondays, 7:00pm to 8:30pm starting June 23 through August 25th.
The Wildwood State Park will be hosting Square Dancing on Fridays, 8:00 to 10:00pm starting July 11 through August 29th.
