Book Recomendation

screwups.jpg

Hi Everyone,

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a copy of King of the Screw-ups by K.L. Going. The cover did not impress me but I decided to give it a try anyway. I guess the moral here is to not judge a book by its cover because this book won me over almost instantly. Let me tell you about it...

Seventeen year old Liam has a knack for getting into trouble. He’s gorgeous, fashion savvy and the most popular guy in his school. All the girls want to date him and all the guys want to be him. His mom, former supermodel, runs a high-end fashion boutique in Westchester, and Liam is destined to be just like her, much to the disappointment of his stern, wealthy, disapproving father. Liam’s dad kicks him out after Liam gets caught with a girl in his father’s office, and Liam ends up moving in with is father’s homosexual brother, Aunt Pete, in a trailer park in upstate New York. Cross dressing Aunt Pete, is a late night DJ at the local radio station and a glam rocker on the weekends.

Liam is determined to make his father proud, most importantly, by losing the one thing his father hates, his popularity. With trouble finding him at every turn, will Liam be able to win the approval of his father, lose his popularity status and find happiness? Read King of the Screw-ups today to find out!
