Summer Reading Club:
COME JOIN THE MERRICK LIBRARY TEEN SUMMER READING CLUB!
Express Yourself @your library!
Who: Open to Merrick Library patrons
in grades 6-12
What: The idea is that you read books (that you choose) and get prizes. There will be weekly raffles and a big party at the end of the summer.
Where: All at the Merrick Library
When: Registration begins at the Merrick Library Teen/Media Desk on June 1st, with programs and raffles throughout the summer.

Throughout the summer the library will have the following programs:
Beach Bag Book Club: 6/18 with Jen Calonita, 7/7 with Sara Shepard,
8/17 with Claudia Gray.
Photo Workshop 7/9,
Adobe Photoshop 7/29. Videogame Tournament 7/8.
Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches 7/22, Sandwich Expo 8/13.
End of the Summer Party: 8/20.

Wednesday, July 8th at 6:30-8:30p.m. Fee $3
All videogame fans are invited for our traditional and super popular Videogame Tournament. Snacks will be served and prizes will be awarded.
Registration begins on 6/10th. Non residents sign up starts on 6/24th.
Videogame Experts Wanted:
Help us to decide which games will be played by participating at our Videogame Committee Meeting: July 6th at 4 p.m. Registration begins on June 10th.

Photo Workshop
Photo Workshop/NEW! Fee $3
Thursday, July 9 at 6:30-8:00p.m.
Professional photographer Michael Ach will teach you how to take the best shots! Sign up for the program and receive a disposable camera. During the summer take pictures of your neighborhood, summer trips, your family and friends. Return your camera to the library and we’ll develop your pictures and select best shots for the display in the Teen room.
Registration begins on June 11th. Non residents sign up starts on July 2nd.

Beach Bag Book Club
Express Yourself: Literary Arts
Beach Bag Book Club
Jen Calonita invites you and your friends to join us as we embark on our second Beach Bag Book Club fun adventure. Grab a beach bag, available at the Reference Desk; relax by the pool or at the beach with a book and come for a cozy gathering at the Merrick Library Wing to discuss
summer reads with popular authors. We guarantee lots of fun, give away prizes, snacks, raffles, and book sale.
Registration starts on June 1st. Register for one or all three programs.
