FAIREST by Gail Carson Levine

Cover of Fairest.jpg
Another great tale by Gail Carson Levine is loosely based on a elements from the fairy tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. You may remember Lucinda from ELLA ENCHANTED, well in FAIREST, Lucinda's magic mirror is creating havoc in the Kingdom of Ayortha; where singing and beauty are prized above all. There is a girl, Aza,with the most beautiful singing voice who wants nothing more than to be pretty, and there is the new queen of Ayortha who is beautiful but can not sing. When their paths cross, all things good and bad happen.

This is a terrific tale for girls in grades 6 to 9 or anyone who is a Gail Carson Levine fan.

Thsi book is one of the best books EVER! It has everything- handsome princes, evil queens, magic potions, and a lesson that we learn through the lovable main character Aza: You are who you are. When you accept that, you have true beauty.

O My gosh, this was so fun to read! Its was really cute with tons of things going on in your head as you read it. This book was so GREAT that you forgot waht you were doing and where you were, all the mattered was Aza, the main charter. I loved how it ended too, and how everything just ties in, FATE is really inportant. Aza is one lucky book charter.

I really Adored this book. Now I am a very picky reader, like if they say someing never comes back in one book, and the next book has the someing in it again, I won't read it beacuse I loved the first on so much. Well this book was soooo awesome that I couldn't even put it down, it was like totally stuck to my hands! Anyone would love this book. You can read it no problem, so its good for younger readers. Also, I recomend this for BOOK CLUBS. It was all written so perfectly. Fairest has the works, mythical creatures, A giant Kingdom, despair, happiness, romance, and jealousness. This Book has really got it all.

I am a fast reader and read this book in an hour. Though i find it short I LOVED IT! I thought it was creative how the author tied another one of her books into the end. I am doing a book report on it where i have to find actors for all the characters. Here they are:
Jennifer Love Hewitt as Aza Reese Witherspoon as Queen Ivi
Tom Cruise as king Oscaro Jessica Alba as princess Elainee
Rachel Bilson as Lady Arona Alex Pettyfer as Prince Ijori
Cate Blanchett as mother Melissa George as Areida
Adrienne Frantz as duchess Milo Ventimiglia as Guard Uellu
Roger the Weimaraner as Uju ( ha ha i found a website with dog actors)
Please tell me what you think about these choices!

I LOVED this book... I too am a picky reader but i just ADORE Gail Carson Levine's books! Out of all of Gail's books this one would be my favorite. I surprised myself because i have never read a 326 paged book within 5 days. F.Y.I I'm a slow reader =P Every time i had the chance to read, I read Fairest. I couldn't put this book down! I recommend this book to ANYONE who likes fantasy books. My favorite characters would be Aya and Ijori. I wished Gail Carson Levine would write more books!!!

This book well, I can't say is THAT good book.
There is a lesson in this book, but it is something too obvious and logic. People gone astray wouldn't recognize these things that superficial appearence is not important forf finding out what kind of person that is. Obviously, it is the inside.
Other things in this book, I think was kind of interesting except for the love part, it made me feel like what is gonna happen next! But this authors good part is that it makes you want to read next and nextr, but mostly it is love story.

The book is amazing. You can read it over and over again without being bored. Its a great book for kids and others with imaginations. I reccomend it to any ppl who want to make diffrences, this book is basically about to be proud of who u are. Example, Prince Ijirori didn't like when Aza was beautiful, and the others did. So u always need to believe tht ur special wether u know it or not. And believe me its worth in beleiving. Overal the book was awsome!!! x)
