How Can You be Anonymous at the Prom?

Prom Anonymous
by Blake Nelson

Sometimes, getting ready for your prom isn’t so easy. From the
dates, to the outfits, to the makeup and hair to the day itself,
everything can fall apart so easily without a clue. Blake Nelson
shows this through the story of three girls from three very
different social cliques. He writes about the troubles each girl
faces. Laura, Chloe, and Jace are three best friends, each
with different outlooks on the prom. One doesn’t want to go, the
other wants to but doesn’t have the courage to ask her crush out
and the third totally does…with her boyfriend of 14 months. But
now, the three will come together and be there for each other when
they need it most. This book can be looked at as a guide to your own prom
scenarios!

The book overall was written very well. It's fun to read especially during those rainy days. At times the book can get confusing though, so be sure to read a part over a couple of times if you don't get it!
Recomended!

Poems from the Heart by Amelia Rocissano

Music
By: Amelia Rocissano

The wide, empty, echoing space,
Fill with the pounding insistent beat
Surrounding me and lifting me away,
There is no escape,
So I surrender.
It takes me on a journey,
Soaring above my fears,
Far from worry and stress
and unhappiness
Keeping the encroaching world away
Keeping me safe
Then, the wide space is a
void once more
and the world comes flying back at me.

Memories
By: Amelia Rocissano

Two golden haired little girls were we,
Jumping and playing merrily.
Dancing, softball, swimming,
Always the sound of laughter ringing.
Best friends forever, or so we said
Scarcely apart until it was time
For bed.
What happened to those good times?
How could our lives not be intertwined?
But soon, tears came at the one-two-finish,
Every win, would you diminish.
No joy for my success,
Only jealously and unhappiness.
What happened to the good times?
How could our lives not be intertwined?
Quarrels and harsh words tearing us apart,
Leaving a hole forever in my heart.
The years have passed and wisdom come
And hope that perhaps it can all be
Un-done
Forgiveness, I give you mine
Freely
If you will give me yours
Truly.
For what about the good times?
How could our lives not be intertwined?
