"Graphic Novels" in Nonfiction

An interesting library dilemma has occurred and I thought I'd share it. We've been ordering more and more graphic novels to keep up with demand, as they've become very popular with teens. All good so far, right? Well, we've gotten in a couple of books that are written and illustrated in graphic novel style, but they're actually nonfiction. That is, they are true stories written with historical accuracy, but with pictures! If we put them in the YA (that is, Young Adult), nonfiction section -- which is mixed in with the adult, people would wonder what "comic books" were doing in the history section. And, even though it's not technically accurate, I think I would vote to put them in the YA graphic novels section. I feel that we're in the business of providing to and for the public (that's you!), and since teens will be browsing the YA section and not the history section, looking for graphic novels -- the books will be more likely to be read and enjoyed from there. Take a look at this biography of Martin Luther King, Jr. -- it looks awesome!
