Vidfest Was a Hit!
Last Saturday's Vidfest program was unbelievable -- over 100 people and over 80 teens competing! Who would have thought that a video game festival would become an intergenerational event? Parents, grandparents and siblings turned out to cheer on their children. DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) was the final competition and a lot of fun with the game projected onto the big screen. If you missed it, you can look forward to attending next year as it's become an annual event.
The Bryant Library has truly become a community center. Just this morning, we have a yoga class going on upstairs, a class visit in the Children's Room, a beginner's computer class in the Valentine House, plus a group of learning disabled adults using the library, and many people checking out books and videos, doing research and using the computers! And, this is a typical day in the life of our library -- how lucky are we?
