What Does Genius Look Like?

This week celebrated what would have been the 300th birthday of Benjamin Franklin. In my opinion, he was truly the epitome of genius. The more I read about him, the more in awe I am of this man. He invented the bifocals, swim fins, a stove and a musical instrument, called a glass armonica. He started the first library, the first post office, the first hospital, the first fire company and the first insurance company. He was a vegeterian and a "health nut." He was the first to say that you don't catch a cold from sitting by an open window. He published a newspaper, and an almanac. He signed the Declaration of Independence.

But, besides his civic contributions, my very favorite thing about Benjamin Franklin was his desire to do the right thing. He was very morally minded and began each day by saying, "what good can I do today?" What if all of us were to get out of bed and say that to ourselves? Imagine if...
