A full house enjoyed this fabulous program of music, song and dance. Performances were interspersed with the history of flamenco and how it continues to evolve. The audience joined in with hand clapping, and received brief lessons in dance hand movements, foot movements and playing castanets.

The performers of Arts Flamenco:

Jorge Navarro – choreographer, dancer, percussionist as well as the founder and Director of Arts Flamenco.
Pedro Cortés – guitarist, composer as well as the Music Director of Arts Flamenco
Conja – flamenco dancer, castanet dancer
Triana DeJeres – singer

This program was the first of three musical programs of music and arts from around the world. The Sunday, November 1st program is "Finding Your Voice" and is primarily geared for young adults but is open to everyone. The Sunday, November 8th program is "A World Mosaic of Music and Dance" and is geared for children in Grades 1 to 5 and their families.

This program series was made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts’ Decentralization Program, administered by the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport.
