HISTORY
In 1903, a small lending library was established
in Bayville by Albert DeLoach,
age 14. A group of interested citizens joined
with him in the development of
a chartered library, In 1908, the library
moved to a house on Library Lane, and
the Bayville Free Library, a free association
library, was chartered in 1912. In
1956, it was relocated to its present quarters
at the center of the Village Hall
complex on School Street. The library is
chartered to serve the Incorporated
Village of Bayville which has a population
of 7193 (1990 census).
