Sixty Bethpage Tweens and Teens are members of the Summer Reading Club.
Here are some of the books they are enjoying and highly recommend to fellow readers:
Lucas rates these books as "great reads":
The Magician by Michael Scott
"This book is as good or even better then it's prequel, The Alchemist.
The Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr was "very interesting."
The Doomspell by Cliff McNish was "really hard to put down."
Ragnarok, Vol. 5 by Myung-Jin Lee was "exciting and a bit freaky."
Monster Madness by Dean Lorey was "really good."
Cristin says that Deep Down Popular by Phoebe Stone is a "great read."
She recommends it because "it was really good and it teaches you about friendship and how to respect yourself and to judge yourself on how you treat other people but not how you look and how you think others are going to say about you."
Stephanie says that The Everafter War by Michael Buckly is a great read because
"I feel that when an author mixes up folklores the story ends up great. It also seems that the story was a bit predictable. I kind of knew that Sabrina and Daphne's parents would wake up in this book. I also felt like this story was intense and dramatic, due to the on-going war."
Stephanie also highly recommends The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot.
Stephanie "would recommend this book to a lot of my friends. This book was different from the ones I usually read. The book was more about royalty, romance, and friendship. The main character, Mia, was also interesting. In conclusion, this is book you should defiantly read!"
Other books BPL Tweens and Teens have enjoyed are:
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Eldest by Christopher Paolini
Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
My Secret War by Mary Pope Osborne
Fresh off the Boat by Melissa De La Cruz
