THE BRYANT LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

The Bryant Library Association has served Roslyn for more than 119 years, making the Bryant the oldest continuing public library on Long Island. Membership in the Association* is free and open to residents and taxpayers of the Roslyn Union Free School District #3, Towns of North Hempstead and Oyster Bay who are of legal voting age.

Every library user is asked to join when they receive their first library card and membership is now automatically renewed. If you are a new user, or have just turned 18, or are not sure if you do belong to the Association, just ask at the Circulation Desk. One of the duties of members of the Bryant Library Association is to vote in the January election for library trustees.

*Membership in the Bryant Library Association should not be confused with membership in Friends of the Bryant Library, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support the library with services, equipment and materials not ordinarily provided through tax dollars.

Bylaws of the Bryant Library Association  adopted 1/17/06
