WINTER STORYTIMES

GIGGLES AND WIGGLES
Tuesdays or Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
For 12 to 18 month olds
Begins on Tuesday, February 27th or Thursday, March 1st.
Child must be 12 months old by March 1, 2007.

LITTLE SPROUTS
Mondays or Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
For 18 to 24 month olds
Begins on Monday, March 5th or Wednesday, March 7th.
Child must be 18 months old by March 1, 2007.

TODDLER STORYTIME
Fridays at 11 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.
For children ages 2 - 3 1/2
Series 1 begins on Friday, March 2nd.
Series II begins on Friday, April 13th.
Child must be 2 years old by March 1, 2007 for Series 1 or 2 years old by April 1, 2007 for Series II.
Note: a parent or guardian must accompany the child to each class.

PRE-K STORYTIME
Tuesdays at 4 p.m.
Wednesdays at 3 p.m.
For children ages 3 1/2 to 5.
Begins on Tuesday, February 27th or Wednesday, February 28th.
Child must be 3 1/2 years old by March 1, 2007.

K-CAROUSEL
Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 4 p.m.
For children presently in kindergarten.
Begins Monday, February 26th, Wednesday, February 28th or Thursday, March 1st.

SACK FULL OF SURPRISES
Friday, March 23rd, from 4-5 p.m.
Grades 1 to 3.
Did you know that March is National Optimism Month? It is also National Craft Month and Youth Art Month. We will read about happy times and creativity.

PAJAMA STORYTIME
Wednesdays, 7 p.m.
For children ages 3 1/2 to 5 (not in kindergarten)
Begins Wednesday, February 28th.
Child must be 3 1/2 years old by March 1, 2007.

The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling
John loves chocolate! In this witty take on the legend of King Midas, he is about to learn that there is, indeed, such a thing as too much chocolate.
Registration begins on Friday, March 2, 2007
Book discussion is on Friday, April 27, 2007, 4 - 5:00 or 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to lead these discussions! It is a great experience and guides are provided! Please leave your name with the Children's Department or email Roseanne Frank at rfrankbryant@optonline.net.

VACATION SPECIALS
Free tickets for Vacation Specials available on Friday, March 23rd for Bryant Library cardholders. Others may call the Children's Department the day before the program to check on availability.

CONCERT: ROGER DAY'S READY TO FLY
Wednesday, April 4th, 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Ages 3 1/2 to 8
Infectious fun featuring action-packed rhino-kissing, wrangling kids' songs! A fresh and fun approach with funny lyrics and catchy beats. Winner of the Parents Choice award for his CD; Ready to Fly.

FILM: EVERYONE'S HERO
Thursday, April 5th, 2-3:30 p.m.
Ages 4 and up (4 and 5 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult). A 10-year-old baseball fan goes on the adventure of a lifetime when he tries to find Babe Ruth's prized bat that has been stolen during the 1932 World Series. Along the way he learns what real heroes are and the true meaning of friendship.

SPRING STORYTIMES

Music, fingerplays, toys & simple stories will help develop early literacy skills. There will be plenty of giggles & wiggles for everyone. Parent or guardian must accompany the child. Child must be 12 months old by March 1, 2007.

SACK FULL OF SURPRISES
Friday, April 20th, from 4-5 p.m.
Grades 1 to 3.
April is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month and National Woodworking Month. It s also Animal Cruelty Prevention Month. Join us for stories about great hobbies, delicious food, and our furry friends.

LITTLE SPROUTS
Mondays or Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
For 18 to 24 month olds
Begins on Monday, April 16th or Wednesday, April 17th.
Child must be 18 months old by April 15, 2007.
Toys, books and fun await little ones. Parent or guardian must accompany the child. The Friends of Bryant Library support the cost of the "born to read" gift bags and books distributed at Little Sprouts.

In-person registration for Mother's Day Craft, Tiny Tots and May's Sack Full of Surprises will begin on Friday, April 20th for Bryant Library cardholders. Others may call the Children's Department the day before the program to check on availability.

MOTHER'S DAY CRAFT
Friday, May 4th, from 4-5 p.m. or 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Grades K - 5.
Artist Esther Tollen will present silk design and painting. Come and make a great pin for your mom!

TINY TOTS
Thursdays, May 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st.
10:15-11:15 a.m.
11:30-12:30 p.m. or
1:00-2:00 p.m.
A Discovery Program for 2-3 1/2 year olds with parent or caregiveer. Each of the 4 sessions will have interesting crafts, movement activities and songs. Some activities will be practiced each week. It's fun and exciting.

SACK FULL OF SURPRISES
Friday, May 11th, from 4-5 p.m.
Grades 1 to 3.
May is National Bike Month and Get Caught Reading Month. We will share stories about outdoor fun and our favorite activities.

Program Attendance Policy: Preference will be given to children of Roslyn School District residents. Please present your library card when registering or picking up tickets. Others may call the day before a program or performance to check on availability.
