Programs for Teens and Tweens (Grades 6-12)

YADAC Begins!
Fridays, from 4:00-5:00
The Young Adult Advisory Council (YADAC) begins the new year of meetings and planning programs and supervising at library events. We welcome all teens in grades 6-12 to earn community service by serving at the Bryant Library! Come every Friday at 4pm to get credit for service and help the Library get the job done! Call the Reference Desk if you have any questions. See you on Friday!

College Application Essay
Sunday, October 4th, 2:00-4:00
Don’t miss this once a year opportunity (past attendees have felt it’s the best kept secret in Roslyn) to meet one-on-one with an expert. Before you mail it out, bring your college essay in and we’ll help you polish it. Dr. Martha Maloof presents an in-depth guide to the application process. Seniors and Parents, don’t miss this opportunity for practical, relevant help. This program is FREE!! Due to time restriction, names will be chosen at random for one-on-one help, but everyone will benefit. Please register in person or by phone at the Reference Desk by October 3.

Anime Action!
Sunday, October 11th, 2:00-4:00
Come to the library for an afternoon of Anime activities! Come dressed as your favorite character…come try some fun food…learn to draw anime, and more! Please register in person or by phone at the Reference Desk by October 8.

How to Pay for College Without Going Broke
Saturday, October 24th, 2:00-4:00
Jan and Tony Esposito will teach you what you need to know to successfully navigate the road to higher education. They will share with you the proven techniques and strategies they use to help hundreds of families send their children to the college of their choice without going broke. This program is free!
