I was fortunate enough to hear Nancy Werlin (author of Impossible) speak this morning. She's a great speaker and seems really sweet too. If you haven't already read it, definitely add Impossible to your "to read" list. During her presentation, Nancy showed the book trailer for her book. It got me thinking about how cool book trailers are. Check out some below. (I'm reading Wintergirls right now)

G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra is an upcoming live action film adaptation of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise, to be released on August 7, 2009. This is what snake-eyes is going to look like.....!!!! WOW! I'm crossing my fingers true believers.

The trailer for Where the Wild Things Are directed by Spike Jonze has finally been released, though the movie is not due until October 2009. It still has everyone guessing just what this movie is going to be like. There were reports that the film was too intense for children and had to be re-shot and re-edited. It seems like Jonze has made a hipster movie for kids. The evocative song playing in the background of the trailer is by critically acclaimed Canadian group Arcade Fire, and there seems to be a minimal amount of special effects. I have high hopes that this will be a great movie, but here in the children's room we're all wondering how they are going to stretch Maurice Sendak's short, but wonderful book into a full-length film. See the trailer here.

A new star trek movie is coming out in may! New movie and new cast by producer J. J. Abrams. Well here is the new Spock.....what do you think? Is there a possibility of of a revival?
