One of my favorite teen books of the year so far has been Going Bovine by Libba Bray. In the story, Cameron Smith, a sixteen year-old who has recently been diagnosed with Mad Cow disease, sets off on a road trip with a death-obsessed video gaming dwarf he meets in the hospital in an attempt to find a cure. It's a crazy adventure involving talking garden gnomes, giant fire flames and an enormous Cadillac.
