The New York Anime Festival is an annual anime convention held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. It features exclusive and extensive anime screenings, guests from America and Japan, manga, cosplay, video games, live-action Japanese cinema, fashion, food, and the cultural treasures that gave birth to Japanese pop culture.

At Blizz Con it was announced that Blizzard Entertainment is going to release two new games and a new expansion set for World of Warcraft. The two new games are Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. The expansion set is World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. This expansion set is going to have shattering changes to Azeroth.

From the comic-con in california I heard a whisper that a Green Lantern movie is in the works....Ryan Reynolds stars!

Megan Fox star of the Transformers is in a new film called Jennifer's Body. There is also going to be a comic based on the film....Synopsis: The perfect cheerleader gets posessed and starts feeding on boys one by one. The film is a horror/comedy. Diablo Cody the writer of Juno also penned this script.

This is the new decepticon! These robots in disguise have powers to transform into whatever....why didn't the decepticons win???? Oh well so much for the story in the new movie.

There is a new edition to D&D. It is Dungeons and & Dragons fourth edition. Anybody interested in trying this game on should contact Mr. @ the ref desk.

Did anybody here about the new movie from James Cameron(Director of Aliens)??? Well he is making a new science fiction film that is geared for the 3-D film format. It is going to be out by December.

They're back for revenge. The transformers second movie is coming soon...Maybe this will be the it movie of the summer. The coming attractions look great but that doesn't mean that it will be good.

The new animated movie is pretty good. It is an introduction to the super heroine Wonder Woman for those who don't know anything about her. The best scene unfortunately is the last scene of the movie and she clobbers the cheetah. Will there be a live action movie?

The new terminator movie is out......news is that the movie is terrible. The advice that i am getting is not to go waste my time and see it...well that's unfortunate. what a bummer!

I'm still reading the Mercy Thompson Series and I think I might buy a t-shirt. One of the most interesting parts in the series is the universe where the story takes place. Supernatural creatures have come out into the public eye in the United States. The backdrop is how the public is reacting to the new neighbors. Of course there is more to talk about.....but you'll have to the read the book to find out.

Finally last saturday I saw the new Star Trek Film @ an IMAX theater........it is an alternate reality star trek universe and despite this plot device to explain the difference the film is not bad and has out done some of the other star trek films. By the way Spock rules!

The new movie is here and I am hearing mixed reviews. Some people say it is a pretty good flic and the box office reflects this opinion. Other people think the the film is ok and mild at best. So who do I believe....the masses or the select few?

The World of Warcraft is currently the world's largest MMORPG in terms of online subscribers. This has made it into the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG.World of Warcraft has 11.5 million monthly subscribers. So what is the deal with the game? Are 11 million people crazy? What is the horde and the alliance? What's going on with this game?

Here's the deal....if you're a fan boy then its a great movie but if not, dont bother to go to the movie theater wait for the dvd. The movie is too long and feels dated because it takes place in the eighties. Overall a good adaptation of the graphic novel but not a date movie!

A new animated film has just be released direct to dvd starring Keri Russel as Wonder Woman.
Does this mean we are going to see a live action film with Wonder Woman in 2011....One can only hope.

Her name is Mercy, she's a Volkswagon mechanic and a Native American shapeshifter. The latest book Bonecrossed in the Mercedes Thompson series is on the NY Time best seller list.

This movie is based on the the graphic novel. Did I mention before that it is the only graphic novel to be included in the All-TIME 100 Novels list? Nuff said!

The latest installment of the Lila Black series. A great blend of science fiction and fantasy. In this novel the cyborg Lila Black is trying to resurrect her lover Zal the rock star elf and she now has a magic sword that is taking on the form of a pen.

This fantasy/horror film was a delight! You have to see it to believe it! Normally I wouldn't recommend this film because its for the kiddies but the witch and the cool black cat made me fall in love with this film. See it in 3-D because it is soo much better. The film is based on the horror/fantasy book Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Watchmen is a graphic novel by Alan Moore. Former crime-fighters are drawn back into action by the murder of a former teammate, which turns out to be the leading edge of a much wider, more disturbing conspiracy. The movie of Watchmen is coming out March 6, 2009.

Wolverine from the X-Men comics and the X-Men movies is coming to the big screen with his own movie.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is coming to the screen May 2009. Funny thing is Sabertooth appears to be shorter than Wolverine in this movie unlike the other movies and the comics......Oh Hollywood!

The World of Warcraft is about to release its new expansion pack.....The Wrath of the Lich King!!! The World of Warcraft has 11 million subscribers worldwide and will most likely grow with the new addition. The expansion pack is supposed to be released Nov 13, 2008.

I saw the Iron Movie friday night and it was great!!! Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the role of Tony Stark. The special effects were done very well! Three cheers for the Iron Man Movie!!

The Hulk is back with a new movie!!! The new movie is going to have the Hulk and the Abomination battle it out for gamma radiation supremacy. Edward Norton stars in the film and supposedly had his hand in the creative process.....can this be a good sign or ????

The new Iron Man Movie is coming to the theaters May 2nd!! I previewed a few trailers for the movie and it looks great!!!! Hopefully this movie will launch a new franchise.....so my only question is who is the next superhero coming to the big screen? Could it be the Justice League?

There is a new movie coming out about dragons. The title is Dragon Wars and has cgi dragons destroying everything in sight. Lets hope it doesn't look too fake!!!!

This is the new bionic woman. She is coming to TV this fall hopefully. It's a complete reconceptualization of the title. They're using the title as a starting point, and that's all.

I found out that the six million dollar man came from a book....with a 1972 copyright...wow!

Great News!!!! Blizzard has just announced the coming of Starcraft 2. Finally the greatest sci/fi game has a sequel. "We're in the pipe, five by five."

This novel is an amazing read for fantasy and horror fans. The main character is an elven vampire!
