According to Dictionary.com, an invention is a new device, method, or process developed from study and experimentation.  You may be required to do a science project that explores the process of invention, or the history of a certain invention.  Some projects require a student to recreate the steps that an inventor took to develop a famous invention.

This site offers links to biographic information about different scientists.  You can look at information on Natural and Social scientists by the subject they study.  Different links are posted for each area of science, including time lines and scientist's biographies.  This site should be used for historical information regarding specific sciences.

Select Invention Facts and Myths and look for your invention!  This site also includes inventor biographies, timelines, and innovation articles.
