Over 250 teens joined our Summer Reading Club this year. All of the participants who read 5 books or more were invited to the “End” party where great time was had by all. The teens enjoyed playing video and board games, listening to music and spending time with old and new friends. They also had pizza and got creative, making their own delicious ice cream sundaes!
Three Grand prizes (gift certificates to Barnes & Noble book store)were awarded to Jocelyn Joseph, Muhammad Akmal, and Matthew Walker while the Top Reader prize (I-Pod Nano) went to Shahrukh Khan who read 45 books this summer. All the participants joined the Book Giveaway and left the party with a book of their choice.
Teens who participated in our Book Buddies program were also invited to the party. These teens volunteered their Mondays during July and August to read and make a simple craft with kids ages 3-5.
