The InfoTrac set of databases includes a number of useful collections which cover literature, health, business, investing, history, people, etc.

LitFinder
LitFinder is international in scope, covers all time periods, and contains a wealth of primary literature content, including more than 126,500 full-text poems, 850,000 poem citations and excerpts, 5,000 full-text short stories, 2,800 full-text essays, 1,800 full-text speeches, and 1,000 full-text plays. LitFinder also includes biographies, work summaries, photographs, and a glossary.

NetLibrary eBook Collection
NetLibrary offers an easy-to-use information and retrieval system for accessing the full text of hundreds of reference, scholarly, and professional books. You must create a NetLibrary account before the collection can be accessed from home. This may be accomplished at the library's Reference Desk.

NoveList: Electronic Readers' Advisory
NoveList is an online readers' advisory tool that helps adults find new fiction books based on books they've read or topics in which they are interested. Users simply enter a title or author they like, or describe a book they would like to read, and NoveList finds books in its database with matching subject headings.

With NoveList K-8, you can use your students' favorite books (or the books you use in your classes) to find more books to read and use. The powerful search engine uses detailed and rich subject headings to search by instructional unit, theme or topic. TumbleBook Library
The TumbleBook Library is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) TumblePuzzles, and TumbleQuizzes, as well as TumbleResources for teachers. The East Meadow Public Library is offering an exciting new program for 4th - 12th grade students called Live Homework Help. Available every day from 3 p.m. to 9p.m., this service connects students to a real, live tutor for up to 20 minutes of one-on-one help.
