Message from Floral Park Public Library Board of Trustees
The Floral Park Public Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Ms.Tracey Simon has been appointed Library Director, effective October 5. Previously, Ms. Simon was the Assistant Director at the Lynbrook Public Library. She has worked in the library field for than 17 years, and is energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about libraries. In addition to her work as a librarian, Ms.Simon has experience in grant writing, public relations, and library promotion. Her varied background, we believe, will work well with our village library.
In 2002, Ms.Simon served as President of the Nassau County Library Association, one of the largest local Organizations in the United States dedicated to improving the status of libraries and library-related professions with close to 1,000 members.
"I am excited to be part of the Floral Park Library family, and am eager to help steer the Library towards becoming an even more vibrant and attractive place for the community," said Ms. Simon
