DOWNLOADABLE AUDIOBOOKS
at the
FREEPORT MEMORIAL LIBRARY
We are pleased to announce that in addition to the NetLibrary downloadable audiobooks, the Freeport Memorial Library has added Overdrive downloadable audiobooks to our collection. Downloadable audiobooks are digital versions of popular books that are available to download and listen to on your computer or portable listening device. Some titles can also be burned to CD.
Please note that your device must be able to play Windows Media Audio Files -- iPods are currently not supported. Once you are finished with a title, you do not have to return the audiobook - simply allow the license to expire and the title will automatically be removed from your account. The expired files will remain on your hard drive until you delete them.

Overdrive Downloadable Audiobooks
You may have up to 5 audiobooks checked out to your account at one time, and you have access to the audiobook for a period of 7 days. You will be asked to enter the 14 digit barcode from your Library Card, along with your PIN number. If you do not have a PIN, or have forgotten your PIN, please contact the Library (516-379-3274) for assistance. Before you can download and play Overdrive audiobooks, you must download and install the Overdrive Media Console.

NetLibrary Downloadable Audiobooks and Ebooks
You may have up to 10 audiobooks checked out to your account at one time, and you have access to the audiobook for a period of 21 days.
- FIRST TIME USERS: You will be asked to enter the 14 digit barcode from your Library card, then click on the Connect button. You will be taken to the NetLibrary page. Click on the link labeled Create a Free Account. The link is located on the upper right side of the screen.
- RETURNING USERS - If you already have a NetLibrary account, log in to NetLibrary and click on the Audiobooks Center link to begin searching for audiobooks to download.
