Freeport Memorial Library is bringing back its popular program to help native Spanish speakers improve their English conversation skills and help native English speakers improve their Spanish conversation skills. Participants alternate speaking in English, then in Spanish, in 15-minute intervals. There is no teacher or instruction provided during these sessions. Light refreshments are available.

There is open registration for Freeport taxpayers who want to sign up for the September or October classes. If space remains, nonresidents may register as indicated below. Enrollment is limited. Payment is due at registration. One check/money order per person. No cash. Please bring your AARP card with you when registering.

Upon arrival in the city, we will go directly to Radio City Music Hall for the 11 a.m. show. Every performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® presented by Captial One Bank is a glittering present full of fun and surprises for the whole family. Enjoy the flawless precision of the Radio City Rockettes® in numbers like legendary, “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and thrill as Santa takes you on a magical ride to his workshop at the North Pole, where playful ragdolls come to life. Everyone marvels at the stunning reenactment of the first Christmas in the “Living Nativity.” After the show, lunch will be at Applebee’s Broadway. Library cards are available free of charge to any person who lives, works, or goes to school in Freeport.
Freeport residents/property owners and their children are eligible for a three-year card and may borrow all types of library materials. These cards include the Direct Access privileges which allow the holder to borrow books and other materials directly from the other public libraries in Nassau County.
Freeport business owners and employees are eligible for a one-year card and may borrow all types of library materials. However, Direct Access is not available on this card.
Any child who attends school in Freeport but does not reside in, either the Freeport School District or the Village of Freeport is eligible for a one-year card without Direct Access privileges.
