On this blog you will be able read about the latest happenings for young adults at the Freeport Memorial Library. In addition to finding out about upcoming programs you can read and comment on reviews written by the young adult librarians on the latest releases in young adult literature. If you have a book that you loved and would like to share it with others then write your own review and email it or drop it off in the Children's Room and we will post it on our blog for you.

Summer + Reading = Prizes!

Join our summer reading club, and e-mail or write short reviews about the books you read. Reporting starts on June 22 and ends on August 18. Last day to join the reading club is August 16. Books can be on any topic, but they must be on your reading level. Any book from the YA section will be accepted.

Review forms are available in the Children's Room, or you can e-mail your review to us at yafr@nassaulibrary.org. Include your name and grade, the book's title and author, and your favorite part of the story. Prizes can be picked up the next time you're at the library. At the end of the summer we will be having a party for all those who participated in the summer reading club.
