Fifteen year old Carlos is the only one of his friends that hasn't even so much as kissed a girl yet. He has a major crush on Roxy a cute classmate of his, but everytime he gets near her he gets extremely nervous. His mind goes blank and beads of sweat start to make their way down his back. Carlos wants to get Roxy to notice him and become his girlfriend. To make this happen he secretly enlists the help of Sal, a gay classmate of his. Sal gives Carlos a complete makeover from the way he dresses to how he eats. In exchange for this Carlos has to help Sal organize a gay-straight alliance in their high school. Carlos gets the girl but ends up losing a good friend and then losing the girl. To find out what exactly happens during Carlos' transformation and to have a couple of laughs, read Getting It by Alex Sanchez.
