TYRELL BY COE BOOTH

tyrell.jpg
Fifteen year old Tyrell just wants to live a normal teenage life. Unfortunately with his father being in jail and his mother unemployed, he is forced to be the man of the family. He, his mother, and his six year old brother are living in a shelter after being evicted from their apartment. They hardly have enough money to buy food everyday and are basically living out of black plastic bags. The one good thing Tyrell has going in his life is his smart girlfriend Novisha. Tyrell is determined to make enough money to get his mother and brother out of the roach infested shelter so he throws a party using his father's dj equipment to play music. With the help of Jasmine, a girl from the shelter that Tyrell becomes very close with, he promotes his party to kids across the Bronx. To find out if Tyrell makes enough money to move his family out of the shelter, read Tyrell by Coe Booth.
