The year is 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Intergration of schools has been made legal by federal lawmakers but the schools in Little Rock have yet to be intergrated. Sylvia is looking forward to attending all black Horace Mann High School next year where she'll be able to attend basketball games, join the cheerleading squad, and attend school dances. Everything changes when the Little Rock school board decides to allow a select few black students attend all white Central High School in the upcoming school year. Slyvia's name is on the list and if selected she has to decide whether she wants to attend Central High where she will not be allowed to participate in any extracurricular activities or attend Mann where she will be among the friends she's had since elementary school.

Check the Catalog to see if it's in. Fire From the Rock
