Sister Wife by Shelley Hrdlitschka

Sister Wife is a novel told from the perspectives of three girls; Celeste, Taviana, and Nanette. The three girls live in a rural religious community called Unity where polygamy is practiced. At age 15, girls are assigned to much older men. Sisters Celeste and Nanette were born into the Unity way of life and know no other way of living. Taviana came to the community as a teenager. She was a runaway and one of the men of Unity invited her to join their community. Celeste and Taviana became close friends and Taviana would tell Celeste all about the things she used to do before Unity. Such as wearing jeans, watching tv, and dating boys her own age. Hearing these stories cause Celeste to start to question her faith. Some boys from Unity have already run off because they disagree with the faith. Then Taviana has to leave Unity because she's attracting too much outside attention. Celeste feels alone but does not have the courage to leave Unity as well. When Celeste gets assigned to a husband will that be the push to finally get her to leave Unity?
