ADULT PROGRAMS
SUNDAY AFTERNOON PROGRAMS AT 2:00 PM
Our highly professional Sunday programs are best enjoyed by our adult patrons. The parking lot door on the side of the building will be open to facilitate seating. (The main doors of the library are not open on Sundays). Please come on time. The Sunday programs start promptly at 2:00 pm.
Sunday, October 19 - Ahoy! The Paranormal Adventurers return with Ghosts of Long Island Pirates and Shipwrecks. Journey into the world of phantom ghost ships, pirates and shipwrecks with Long Island’s most famous pair of ghost hunters, Joseph Flammer and Diane Hill. Explore the mysteries of Long Island’s seafaring days when the oceans belonged to lawless pirates and thieves. Visit local graveyards and unbury the ghosts of sailors shipwrecked off the coast of Long Island. And- as always- journey into the paranormal through photographs and videos of haunted locations.
Sunday, October 26 - Everything Is Rosie: a Tribute to Rosemary Clooney. Join Jazz Singer Linda Ipanema and Stan Edwards, along with a three piece band, as they pay tribute to Clooney’s incredible talent with a repertoire of her best-loved melodies and anecdotes about her life. Enjoy such hits as “Mambo Italiano,” “Botch-A-Me,” “Come On-A My House,” “Half As Much,” “Hey, There” and many others.
Sunday, November 2 - Join Shenole Latimer, accompanied by three musicians, for Our Music, Our Culture, a review of the history of jazz from the early 1990s to today. Many jazz artists and their struggles are explored, including Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane.
Sunday, November 9 - Broadway Showtunes - American Standards
Join “Good Vibrations” musicians, Thomas Rizzuto and Lenny Hirsh along with a guest vocalist, for a mix of Broadway show tunes and American standards.
Sunday, December 7 - Jerry Cardone returns with a tribute to Old Blue Eyes called Classic Sinatra. Come relax and enjoy his masterful performance of the always classic music of Frank Sinatra.

October 27 - COMPUTER 1ST GRADE FOR GROWNUPS
Create e-mail and master word processing skills.
November 3 - COMPUTER 2ND GRADE FOR GROWNUPS
Learn to work with numbers and get an introduction to spreadsheets, formatting, and the design of columns and rows.
November 10 - COMPUTER 3RD GRADE FOR GROWNUPS
Work with graphics using Windows drawing and painting tools.
