NOTICE OF FIRE DEPARTMENT REGULATION

In order to comply with maximum capacity regulations ordered by the Garden City Fire Department, the Library's meeting rooms are limited to the following capacities:

Meeting Room A (large meeting room) -  96 persons when seating is used
" " " 225 persons without seating
       
Meeting Room B (small meeting room) -  39 persons when seating is used
" " "  72 persons without seating

If any seating is used, the lower maximum capacity will be in effect.

Upon notification from Library staff that overcrowding exists, the group using a meeting room must reduce the number of meeting attendees until regulation compliance is met. If necessary, the Fire/Police Department will enforce compliance with the regulation.

The maximum capacity regulation is designed to ensure the safety and comfort of meeting attendees. It is the responsibility of the person signing this notice to inform the individual in charge of the meeting being booked of the regulation. Group cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
