 How to Access netLibrary logo

As you've probably discovered already, clicking on any of the links to netLibrary will bring you there. You may also have found that you cannot access any of the copyrighted material in the Library Collection.  To preview or "check out" items in the Library Collection, you must establish your netLibrary account at your library.  That way, when you log into netLibrary from your home computer, the netLibrary site will recognize your account as that of a library patron and grant you access to the Library Collection of e-books.

When you preview a title, you have 15 minutes to browse.  "Checkout" gives you 72 hours of exclusive access to the material.

The netLibrary service does not require, or even support, specialized e-book viewing devices.  You must view the books on your computer screen.  To view netLibrary e-books offline (that is, while not connected to the Internet), you can download the netLibrary eBook Reader.  This software also provides for word and phrase searching, annotation, copy and paste functions, and bibliographic citation.

Because the material is copyrighted, users may print or copy and paste only 5,000 characters (about a single page) at a time.

For further information, come to the Reference Desk, call the library at 742-8405, or e-mail us.
