Dear Resident, After several public meetings the Library has completed its budget process for the year 2009-2010. The Library Board, understanding the exceptional, very difficult, economic times facing our community, has kept the increase at 0.93%, attaining its goal of remaining under 1%. More than half of that increase is attributable to the loss of revenue tied to the severe economic downturn -- decreases in state support, and, of course, to a dramatic drop in revenue from our secure and fully collateralized investments.
