TODDLER STORY TIME

    10 to 10:30 a.m.

Join us for picture books, finger plays and playtime.  Children must be two years of age
by July 1, 2006.

Registration begins Wednesday, June 28 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Please bring proof of birthdate and your Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library card to registration.

Tuesday, July 11 or Wednesday, July 12 at 7 p.m.

All the enchanting characters that have made E.B. White’s story a favorite are here!  This beautiful play about friendship is a magical experience.

District Residents and Friends of the Library may pick up tickets beginning Wednesday, June 28 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The Friends of the Library are proud to co-sponsor this program.

Dog Tales – Read a Story to a Dog  Dog Tales

Ages 5 – 8 years old with an adult (NO SIBLINGS PLEASE)

Tuesday, August 15  

Choose one 15 minute session
7:00 to 7:15 p.m., 7:20 to 7:35 p.m. or 7:40 to 7:55 p.m.

Come and read a story to a real live dog.  Volunteers and dogs are from Bide-A-Wee Animal Shelter Outreach Program

Each child is encouraged to bring a donation of dog chew toys or dog biscuits for the shelter

Registration is limited. 

District Residents register beginning Tuesday, August 1 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

 

 

 

2006 SUMMER READING CLUB IS HERE!

Books:  a Treasure!

 

Ages 4 (Pre-readers welcome) to 6th grade are invited to join.

Registration continues throughout the summer for district residents.

There is still time to register for the Summer Reading Club.  Imagine your summer filled with fun reading.  Swing right in and enjoy our annual summer reading club extravaganza.  Join us for weekly contests, reading fun and prizes. 

When you complete eight books, you will be invited to a special program on Wednesday, August 30.  You will also receive a certificate and a surprise.

For those who have completed the Summer Reading Club

Wednesday, August 30, 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.

All who have completed our Summer Reading Club will receive an invitation to join us for this finale.

Join us for this delightful ventriloquist puppet show with a cast of hilarious treasure hungry puppet characters.  Ventriloquist Steve Petruzzella trained at the National Theatre of Puppet Arts and at Jim Henson Productions.
