TODDLER STORY TIME

For 2 year-olds

 Tuesdays beginning January 18
    through March 8
    10 to 10:30 a.m. or
    11 to 11:30 a.m.

 Thursdays beginning January 20
    through March 10
    10 to 10:30 a.m. or
    11 to 11:30 a.m.

Join us for picture books, finger plays and playtime.  Children must be two years of age by January 1, 2005.

 


PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

For 3 to 5 year-olds

Tuesdays beginning January 18
    through March 8
    4 to 4:30 p.m.

Thursdays beginning January 20
    through March 10
    4 to 4:30 p.m.

Join us for picture books and reading fun.  Children must be three years of age by January 1, 2005.

Registration for Toddler and Preschool Story Times begins 
Wednesday, January 5 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Please bring proof of birthdate and your Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library card
to registration for Toddler and Preschool Story Time.


BOOKMARK CONTEST for NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK 

“Something for everyone @ your library”

Help us celebrate National Library Week April 10 – 16, 2005

Grades K to 2nd and 3rd to 5th

Create your own bookmark.  Pick up your entry blank in the Children’s Room during the month of January. The contest closes Friday, January 28. 

Winning bookmarks will be displayed on the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library Home Page starting the week of April 11.

The show excites students to be their own storytellers and provides them 
with the tools in this entertaining and educational program.

Wednesday, February 9 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Join us for an instructional hands-on workshop that introduces the fascinating world of magic and wizardry.  Who better to learn from then a real, live wizard?! 

Master magician and wizard Amore will amaze as he teaches our future wizards.
