General Notary Hours

Please be advised that as of 10/23/2009 Mrs. DeLouise will be providing Notary Services by appointment only. Patrons needing this service should be advised to call the Reference Desk and speak with Mrs. Delouise to arrange an appointment time.

| All persons requesting the Notary Service must be present with photo I.D. such as a license, passport, or non-driver's I.D. All documents must be filled out prior to arrival except the signature(s) to be notarized. This must be done in front of the notary by all signing parties. The notary can not answer legal questions nor interpret any documents. New York State notaries also can not certify documents such as birth certificates but can notarize statements from signers that these documents are "true" copies of the originals. There is a $2.00 fee for each place the notary must sign each document. This is the current fee allowed by New York State. This fee applies to Hicksville residents as well as non-residents, and there are no quantity discounts for multiple notarizations. |
