Or, GOT AUDIOBOOKS?
Download audiobooks to your personal computer any time! Included are selected best sellers, book club favorites, classics, the Holy Bible, and Pimsleur Language Programs. You may listen to downloaded titles on your PC or laptop, or transfer titles to a portable device such as an MP3 player. Devices must be able to play Windows Media Audio files.
And, by being a Hillside Library cardholder & able to access audiobooks online,
you ALSO can borrow & read e-books! Children's e-books are available through the Library at http://www.nassaulibrary.org/hillside/childrensroom.htm

HOW TO ACCESS:
1. Go to the Hillside Public Library AudioBook Page at http://www.nassaulibrary.org/hillside/aud.htm
2. Review instructions, then Scroll to the top of the page and click on the Heading:

3. You will reach http://www.nassaulibrary.org:8080/netlibrary/nls_netlibrary.jsp
If you are a FIRST TIME USER, please enter your library barcode in the space provided. This will bring you to the NetLibrary page, where you will create your log in information. Click on CREATE A FREE ACCOUNT in the upper right corner, fill in the online account information (*NO ONE WILL SEND YOU ANY EMAILS), and click on CREATE ACCOUNT.
If you have already registered and created a free account with a username & password, you can go directly to http://www.netlibrary.com & log in.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD:
1. After you have found items that you are interested in, click on Download this eAudiobook.
2. Then Click on Check Out & Download CD Quality.
3. A green check mark will appear, indicating that the eAudiobook has been checked out to you for 21 days.
When you click on CHECKED OUT ITEMS, this title will appear.
4. Then click on Download CD Quality. At the prompt, DO YOU WANT TO OPEN OR SAVE THIS FILE?,
choose SAVE & save it to your DESKTOP, so you can find it again.
5. You can download 2 books at a time, and check out a total of 10.
6. Remember to Log Out in the upper left corner.
HOW TO OPEN eAUDIOBOOKs ON YOUR COMPUTER:
1. On your desktop, click on downloaded Audiobook. If Windows Media Player does not open automatically, you will need to click on Windows Media Player first, then on the Audiobook. If this does not work, right click on the downloaded Audiobook & click on OPEN WITH WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.
2. You will be asked to acquire a license to play the Audiobook. Simply choose the first question, DO YOU HAVE A NETLIBRARY USERNAME & PASSWORD? and click Log In. Be sure you have already logged out of your previous NetLibrary session!
3. Enter your username & password, wait for the green check mark indicating successful check out, then click on PLAY.
HOW TO TRANSFER eAUDIOBOOKs TO YOUR MP3:
1. Follow ALL instructions for HOW TO OPEN eAUDIOBOOKs ON YOUR COMPUTER above.
2. While your eAudiobook is playing with Windows Media Player, connect your MP3 player to computer. Make sure the MP3 is off.
3. Double-click on SYNC in the top menu.
4. In the left margin, click on NOW PLAYING once. The title that is playing will appear in blue.
5. Left click & hold the cursor on the title & drag it to the right margin, then release. At the bottom right, click on START SYNC.
6. When the Audiobook is transferred, you can disconnect your MP3 player.
7. If you want to transfer another Audiobook from your computer to your MP3, leave your MP3 connected, click on the next title, log in for a license, click on play, then SYNC away!
