What is an eBook?
An eBook is an electronic version of a printed book. eBooks are available on the internet in a variety of
formats. The Levittown Library has access to a collection of eBoooks made available by netLibrary, an
online, digital Library.

What eBooks are available?
Through a comprehensive venture involving the Nassau Library System, its member libraries, and
netLibrary.com, you have access to approximately 1500 copyrighted titles. In addition, you will
have access to 1400 public domain titles such as The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.

What equipment is required?
To view this collection of eBooks you need a computer that is connected to the internet; and you need to
have a browser such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer installed on your computer.

How do I register to borrow eBooks?
Levittown Library patrons MUST REGISTER FROM A COMPUTER AT THE LIBRARY. Patrons can
register themselves or may request the assistance of a Librarian.

1.    Use the browser to connect to the Levittown Library's Home Page at
        http://www.nassaulibrary.org/levtown.
2.    Click on the link to netLibrary.
3.    Click on "create an account."
