Title: The World According to Dog
Author: Joyce Sidman
Rating:
'This book was an excellent book to read. It is a good book to have beside your bed so you can read some poems quickly before you go to sleep. I am not a poetry fan but this book was so much better then I thought it would be. I liked all of the Hikus because they were so true. Some stories told by people were sad and almost made me want to cry. This book was funny, sometimes sad, and had lots of metaphors and similies.

This book was about 2 boys and a girl that escape from their homes just to see the ocean because their parents never let them go and see it. While they were on their way a huge storm came and the hole town they lived in was floded, and the only way to stop the town to flod more was to break a huge stone wall that didn't let the water go through. At the end the 2 boys broke the wall and the town stoped floding, the girl could't help because in the way she broke her arm. Also the 2 boys discover that they were mermans and their parents would't let them go in the water beacuse they were afraid that they would never come back. And so, the girl went back to her house with her dad, and the boys moved to a town called Ocean city were is near the ocean with their parents.
I recomend this book a little bet because I think the author needs to add more to the story.

Title: Running Out of Time
Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix
This was an adventerous and very surprising story! My favorite part of the book was when Jessie Clifton (main character) didn't know what anything was. For instance, she didn't know what a car, tv, radio or even what lights were because she has been living in the 1800's and it's really the 20th century!
I would recomend this book to my freinds

Title: The Looking Glass Wars
Author: Frank Beddor
This book presuposes that Alice in Wonderland is a true story, based on the sad tale of Alyss, a princess who came from Wonderland when her country was at war. She has lived in England for most of her life, and now must go back and fight for her rightful place on the throne.
The idea for the book is amazing, it has its moments but didn't live up to its full potential. If you read one book a year, choose a different one. But if you're looking for a good read and have read (or watched) Alice in Wonderland, go for it. If you're a devoted and obsessive fan of the Alice in Wonderland books, back away. You will quite posssibly be offended.

Title: The War of Mirrors
Author: E.J. Stewart
War breaks out in Larkwood when a mole forces some weasels to look at themselves in a mirror. They weren't quite ready to see themselves as they really were! The kingdom divides into two groups of animals, the Roots and the Twigs. In the end, the Prince of Acorns stops them from destroying one another.
This is one of the best books I have ever read! There are three big battles in all, and each battle ends in a unique, surprising way. The best part about it is that no one dies. When creatures are wounded in battle they have to go to a sanatorium to recover!
The War of Mirrors makes us think about how to get along with one another. I rate it excellent!

Title: The Prophet of Yonwood
Author: Jean DePrau
I really liked the first book of this series, the second book was okay, and this one was terrible. They didn't mention Doon, or Lina (I think that's her name), or Ember, and it wasn't even in the same time period. It was really boring as well, it was slow paced and confusing, and really irrelevant in some places.
I do not recommend this book, it's long and ridiculosly boring.

Matty lives with a blind man named Seer. Matty has a special power that makes him able to heal. Read more to find out what happens!
