BOOK BUDDIES

Teens and children become "buddies" by sharing books and a positive library experience. Children get a chance to practice their reading skills and/or be read to, while teens gain volunteer experience, community service credit and a chance to make a difference in a child's life.

As one "Little Buddy" commented at the end of his first session, "this is awesome!"

Teens wishing to participate as "Big Buddies" must attend an orientation to the program.
All Buddies (both little and big) receive certificates of participation.

Please contact Miss Pohl for further information at 432-7201 at the Youth Services Department
