DOG TALES PROGRAM

NO PROGRAM AT THIS TIME
Please bring in donations of cat or dog food, towels, small blankets, or some cat or dog toys. Donations will be going to the Long Beach Animal Shelter.

Dog Tales is for children in grades K-3

Come and read a story (or two!) to a real live and loveable dog. The dogs provide a chance for kids
to read to a nonjudgmental listener; in addition, children will improve their reading skills. All dogs are accompanied by their owner/handler. These volunteers are from the Bide-A-Wee Animal Shelter Outreach Program and participate in other pet therapy programs. Each child is encouraged to bring a donation of canned dog food or dog biscuits to be donated to the Bide-A-Wee Animal Shelter!

Librarians interested in this program should contact Ms. Firth at
youthservices@netscape.net

DOG TALES VOLUNTEERS MAKE SPECIAL VISIT TO THE LIBRARY

Mrs. Donato and Paige (Bearded Collie) read to preschoolers
during Pajama Storytime at the Point Lookout Branch, July '03.
Paige is always accompanied by her owner Laura Loos.

Casey Dia, the Chihuahua, enjoys stories from some of Long Beach's finest readers!
