Provides a reliable source of eldercare-related information including:

A Care Evaluator to help determine your appropriate level of care,

A search for facilities in your area, and

Answers to a wide range of questions, including long-term care insurance, Alzheimer's disease, and tips for caregivers.

 

A full text database to assist homeowners in do-it-yourself home repair, maintenance, and remodeling projects. Step-by-step instructions for thousands of projects in the areas of plumbing, outdoor, woodworking, electrical, and decorating.

     
 

A full text database with instructional information about small engine machinery maintenance and repair. Engines types include: motorcycles, ATVs, personal water craft, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers, generators, and more.

Looking for something to do with your little ones? Borrow our pass to the Long Island Children’s Museum, good for FREE admission for a family of four. The pass may be reserved up to two weeks in advance of your museum visit.

Assistive Listening Devices : The Library has purchased four assistive listening devices that will enable those people with hearing impairments to enjoy our programs better. We’ve also purchased new microphones that will enhance every-one’s listening experience. This was made possible with a grant from Representative Bob Barra.
