Songwriter Jerome Kern revolutionized the American musical theater with his flowing melodies and character-driven songs. The Paul Joseph Quartet will perform some of Kern’s best-known standards and beloved melodies, including songs from Show Boat, Roberta, Very Good Eddie and others.

Do you crochet? Yarn and fabric crafters are invited to take part in Stitches from the Heart. Spend a pleasant evening knitting, crocheting, or quilting hats, lap robes, blankets, and other items for newborns, children in need and veterans in our VA hospitals. In just its first five years, this non-profit organization donated more than 418,000 handmade items to over 600 hospitals, charities, and community centers nationwide. If you can’t knit, crochet or quilt, donations of yarn and fabric will be happily accepted.

Enjoy a good read? The Literary Club of Lynbrook meets on the first Monday of every month. The Evening Book Club of Lynbrook meets on the first Wednesday each month. Copies of the current selections are available at the circulation desk. All Book Club meetings are held in the Library's 3rd floor Board Room. All are welcome.
