MUSEUM PASS PROGRAM

We are pleased to offer our community participation in a program entitling them to free entrance to several area museums. The following guidelines apply:

  • Museum passes are available to Massapequa School District residents only. The borrower must hold a Massapequa Library Card and be in good standing.
  • A family may borrow only one pass at a time and each individual museum pass may be borrowed only once a month.
  • There is a 3(three) day loan period for passes.
  • The passes must be returned no later than one hour before closing on the day the pass is due. (EX. A pass is borrowed on Monday, it must be returned by 8 P.M. Wednesday.) The pass must be returned to the reference department. The pass may not be placed in the book drop. If it is returned in the book drop a $10.00 fine will be added to the borrower’s record.
  • Late charge of $10.00 per day. In the event that a pass is not returned and the library must pay the entrance fee for the next user, that entrance fee will be added to the original borrowers late fees.
  • Any borrower who loses a pass is responsible for the full replacement cost of that pass. (See Reference for cost of replacement)
  • It is the borrower’s responsibility to call the museums directly for information, hours of operation, parking and/or directions.
  • Passes may be reserved up to one month in advance by an adult (18+ years) family member. Only 1(one) museum pass may be reserved at one time. Please be courteous and contact the Reference Department if you cannot use the time slot you reserved.
  • Each museum reserves the right to determine the rules and regulations governing the use of the museum pass.
  • The Massapequa Library reserves the right to limit the use of the passes for individual families in the event of abuse of the passes.
