The Mineola Library will be holding a food drive to benefit Long Island Cares INC, the Harry Chapin Food Bank. If you would like to make a food donation, a receptacle will be located in the lobby. The Library is conscientious about these challenging economic times. After a detailed review of library expenditures, and the rising cost of printing and postage for the newsletter, it was decided to decrease the quantity of printed newsletters. To further reduce expenses, the newsletter will no longer be mailed to your home. Beginning September 2011, a limited number of printed newsletters will be available in the library. Mineola residents who want future newsletters mailed to them can sign up on a mailing list which will be available at the Circulation desk. The newsletter can also be accessed and printed on-line on the library's website: www.nassaulibrary.org/mineola
