Welcome to the Mineola Library Book Discussion Group! I've started this blog to provide news and encourage discussion for book club members: past, present and future. It's easy to join the book club. The only requirement is that you love reading. We meet on a selected Wednesday evening every month at 7 pm.

FEBRUARY MEETING

Our February meeting will be on Wednesday February 13 at 7 pm. Our book for February will be The Tin Roof Blowdown by James Lee Burke. Burke's Louisiana streetwise investigator Dave Robicheaux is investigating the shooting of two gang members who were in the process of robbing the leader of a New Orleans crime family. The crime and investigation take place against the backdrop of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

MARCH MEETING

Our March meeting will be on Wednesday march 19 at 7 pm. Our selection is the non-fiction memoir The Tender Bar by JR Moehringer. Details coming soon.
