BABY SIGN LANGUAGE!

Join instructor Kathy Bedka-Strain as you learn to communicate with your infant and toddler with baby sign language; the second in our series of parenting programs!

Research shows that babies who are taught sign language:

May actually begin speaking sooner
Have larger vocabularies and higher IQs than their non-signing peers
Experience less frustration
Have increased confidence and self-esteem because of the ability to be understood
Develop a strong bond with their parents

Adults and babies up to 21 months welcome!

Space is limited to 20 families. Preference is given to Mineola residents. Please present your library card upon registration. Register in person, via phone (you will be asked for your library card number), or e-mail (childrensmineola@nassaulibrary.org).
